"Pretend" Birthday party

It seems like we go to someones birthday party every week, well not that much. But since Mags has started preschool the endless parties have begun, wich brady and I secretly enjoy. Needless to say we love having "pretend" parties here at home. Well today we took it to Izzy's. A cute little restaurant close to home. The girls dressed up in their princess costumes, we did hair and makeup, and off we went. At the "bithday" party, we played lots of games like "I spy.." and who can keep the most cheese dip in their bowl and not on the table, I like that one the best. Then we opened presents, just some old jewelry of mine the girls had yet to see. And our birthday cake, a chocolate brownie with ice cream. I loved walking in to the restaurant. Mags had her shoes on backwords. Mimi's dressed taken up in the back with a hair rubber band...pink crocks on her feet. Old present bags, you know when the tissue looks super used, and super old. Everyone asks "what is the occasion?" We say "our pretend birthday!" And yes, we all sing..."happy birthday to Us, happy birthday to us, happy birthday to Maggie, Mimi, Mommy and don't forget Ruby...happy birthday to us!"

Re: "Pretend" Birthday party

That is one of the sweetest things. Made some great memories to have forever. I have a princess at home that would absolutely love for me to let her do that.
